Bakers' Choice

Greetings and welcome to Bakers' Choice, the finest eatery in the Terrace Apartments. The chefs may be overworked and stressed to astounding limits, but the food they prepare is of the highest quality nonetheless. If you find yourself in Ithaca, Chefs Kris and Amanda would be delighted to make your eating experience a pleasurable one.

(Seriously folks, cooking is the only "hobby" Kris and I have... unless you count sleeping.... so we want to share one of the joys we take time to have every day... we have to eat, right, so why not eat well)

Menu

Soups

Butternut Squash Bisque
A smooth, creamy blend of onions, potato, and squash with a variety of fall spices. (Highly recommended by both cooks. If you ever make a bisque yourself though.... let it cool before blending, unless you like having squash on the walls).

Spinach and Rice Soup
A vegetable broth base with fresh spinach, rice, garlic, and tender pearl onions (pictured below).

Entres

Stirfry
Made with noodles or rice, this dish most commonly includes chicken, water chestnuts, carrots, green beans, broccoli, onion, and sesame seeds (though this varies with the availability of each items). It can be prepared in teriyaki, peanut, szechwan, or soy sauces.

Parmesan
Eggplant and chicken in a seasoned sauce and topped with cheese and baked to perfection. Often served with garlic bread and salad.

Stuffed Pepper
Seasoned beef, rice, and spices are mixed then baked inside a green pepper with a rich tomato sauce until juicy and tender.

Juicy chicken breasts or thick burgers grilled and served with a mix of vegetables.

Pizza
Homemade dough (or occasionally seasoned flatbread) topped with whatever toppings seem most appealing. Past pizzas have included "focaccia style" with thinly sliced tomatoes, peppers, and onion with garlic and seasoned olive oil, and many combinations of spinach, onions, peppers, green chiles, mozzerella and pecorino romano. (picture is unbaked before cheese)

Dessert

Cookies
Double chocolate chunk, oatmeal, chocolate chip, peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip with honey and walnuts (pictured below), oatmeal chocolate chip, (and more we are pretty sure).

Cookie Pie
Everything good about chocolate chip cookies baked into a pie with a grahm cracker crust and walnuts. Anyone who ate at the Bucknell Caf knows what this pie is, and yes, I actually found the recipie.

Chocolate Covered.....
Pretzels, oreos, popcorn, strawberries... etc. (Yes, we know this doesn't actually count as cooking, but it is so good).

Auntie Anne's Pretzels
The photos should speak for themselves.
